Except in your scenario, the hardcore players are the two trans children screaming for attention. As much as you don’t want to believe it, hardcore raiders are by far the minority in successful MMO’s.

That game wouldn’t make any money. MMO’s are a business. Hardcore raiders are a very small percentage of the player base. Most players only have an average of 1-3 hours to play each night and just want something to enjoy.
If you were a business owner, would you rather have a player base of 50,000 that clears all…
I’m glad it wasn’t just me that felt this. I played the demo at E3 and just like the writer, did not feel good at all after it.
I think the basic problem with a lot of video games movies is that they try to cram too much of the source material into 90/120 minutes. As fans of the game, we’re used to a story that unfolds over 20+ hours.
