Remember that phone game where you designed a pathogen that killed everyone on the planet?

General Frizzy hair problems...

Heads up! Light Olive Oil is different from Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO).

My standard oil is Grapeseed Oil. But I ran out and went lactose intolerant due to health reasons, so I’ve been using Ghee recently for basically everything except uncooked stuff.

This is going to sound weird... but they could have been eating more because they literally weighed more. Nothing psychosocial about it.

I do something similar, but I am usually in a significantly bigger hurry. So this partially tenderizes as well.

My favorite restaurant is the casual moderately priced sushi joint that plays endless cat videos at the sushi bar. :)

An alternative way to make this work, which I liked a lot in my mid-20's, was to never see the money in the first place. When my job went from half-time contractor to full-time with benefits, I maxed out my retirement (403b) immediately, so that I never saw the raise. I took a year off of saving for retirement later

About $150. CSA for Veggies, Eggs, and Meat = $110. Then carbs, spices, condiments, oils, and tea/seltzer from various grocery stores.

Make Indian food. Seriously, Chana Masala is delicious. Dal can be made with literally any old lentil. Both of these dishes can be made with a variety of beans. Price per serving can work out close to about a $1.50 once you get used to the techniques required and buy spices at ethnic markets instead of McCormick.

I keep a large low-carb snack with me at all times.

When I got food poisoning and lost a whole bunch of badly needed weight, I started drinking wine with dinner. Magically, I gained all the weight back eating seconds every night at dinner.

Just tell them “it’s grown-up food” and watch them try to shovel it into their mouth when you aren’t looking.

I’m not going to lie, lactose intolerance that borders on GI milk allergy has been extremely helpful here.

Any of these spice mixes ground up finely in a mortar and pestle or in a blade coffee grinder, mixed with extremely fine salt if the blend doesn’t have it already, are delicious on popcorn.

Splitting and spacing my asthma meds. Seriously don’t do this. The ER/Urgent Care trip when you are having an attack will cost more! You need a certain therapeutic dose to control your symptoms. If your meds are steroids you will need to keep the dose steady all the time.

How well sealed is the room? Honestly, it might be more of an air infiltration problem you’ve got going there. I add door sweeps and fix up all the foam around my windows. Most of the rentals in my neck of the woods are not the newest. Oftentimes, I find that fixing this stuff also helps with the soundproofing of the

Air Conditioners often serve as small scale dehumidifiers. My window unit usually grabs about a pint of water every few hours. It’s actually more useful as a dehumidifier than an AC in some cases.

I ask future roommates what temperature they are okay with keeping the house at. If the answer is less than 70 during Winter, I move them lower down the list.

Paper cuts! You’ve never felt pain until you’ve put Purell on a bunch of paper cuts.
