I recently got a Posh Spice angled bob with a massive undercut at the back of my neck only. It’s been glorious to wear my hair up or down and never ever have hair sticking to me. Also undercuts + ponytail = great look.

I’ve experienced delays so long in Boston that I would have been better walking instead of taking the T. I also find that the buses are more reliable a lot of the times nowadays. But I’m currently in a fortunate enough job that I can do number 2: have a delayed schedule to avoid rush hour on both ends.

If you can’t find an Indian Store, buy your spices in the Indian section of Whole Foods. They actually have some of the best “Indian” (Actually Canadian) brands for about the same price as the Indian stores. The sizes are reasonable and the prices are right. This applies doubly to those granola lentil types.

I usually suggest Psycho-Pass or Monster. They fit rather well with the folks that love crime-procedurals and psychological thrillers.

That’s when you decide to love yourself, have a mid-life crisis, and buy yourself a Miata! :P

Honestly, I dig the worn in fake persian rugs. Living somewhere cold makes you appreciate thick rich wool. The various colors and curvy patterns hide stains well too.

I know a couple of fairly normal folks who went to various grad schools there. They say it’s a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation. Say you’re from Harvard and you are a privileged asshat. Don’t say and it comes out later, you’re still a privileged asshat. Most of them chose it because they got in and

I’m a New England transplant. I love the fact that everyone is on time for everything here. The only regular exception seems to be getting stuck on public trans for a few extra minutes. No one is stressed or rushed, because we all know that everyone will try to be on time.

I’ve had this happen to me enough times, that there are no white items of clothing in my closet. I’m just done with dealing with it.

Makes that they wouldn’t recommend them. My roommates have an unfortunate fondness for candles everywhere and burning baked goods. They’re mostly there to keep the sprinklers from going on for stupid reasons like lidless cooking pot fires.

I’m the black sheep from a family of doctors. When you spend 30 years studying for only one thing, you tend to become a little bit narrow-minded. Another thing they have the propensity for doing, they turn off their critical thinking after they leave work, because they are understandably tired.

Between the Grenfell Tower fire, this story, and my friend’s neighbors place catching fire, I’ve started to become paranoid.

Something that tends to happen with politically conservative women who have internalized their misogyny: they tend to see women who have hobbies and interests that are typically masculine as children. *Because honestly once you grow up you’ll know that marriage, being pretty enough and vapid enough for marriage,

I’m in IT at a rather formal organization, so some form of nerdy gaming hobby is expected from members of my group. Even then, when somebody from outside our work group comes in they’re always like “you game?!? but you fit in so well! You look like a normal woman!” usually from other women asking for computer help.

Gaming is shockingly cheap entertainment. I’ve been under budget for the past month because of Persona 5. In my area, I might have been able to go for 5 movies tops for the cost of one video game. And games offer hundreds of hours of entertainment vs. 10 hours for the movies.

I usually just raid my stash of make-up sample size products. Deluxe-sized samples can usually get you through a week or weekend. Then I just toss them out before I come.

I abhor any exercise. But I live by a subway station that is 15 stories underground. The only form of exercise I get walking up those stairs multiple times a day. As an asthmatic, doing a partially anaerobic cardio activity is significantly less painful than something like running.

Was there a formal dinner show or event in this trip? As a woman, I’ve been burned and shamed on vacation for not having the appropriate clothing, shoes, jewelry and makeup for a fancy event. I’m impressed she can do it in a 24-inch bag. A lot of guys can get away with nice jeans or khaki dockers in situations where

Eataly!

I get paid time and half for that hour and need to pay off massive student loans.
