I almost think they were striving to be a legit magazine for teenage girls and the profile of a Navajo was an interesting profile. Fast forward and they don't care for substance, just whatever appropriated style is in. That type of things changed long ago, though.

I know - it is so unfair to white people, that there are literally no articles about the dangers of tanning, or about the dangerous standards that people are striving for in the name of beauty.
Male anger is not just constantly validated, but glorified. Whole media franchises are based around it. Anger is what we're allowed to express. Noble visions of men still focus around the direction of anger towards deserving targets and exerting mastery.

This is one of the better commencement speeches I've seen in a long time.
Her point is actual real world and not shitty at all. You prioritize your career, and that is okay. But if you REALLY want to travel, you can find a way to do it. And she was not saying do everything at once, but to not get stuck in the inaction of merely dreaming when you can be doing.
