I really don’t know the full story here and I may never know but I am open to the possibility and not entirely ruling out bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.

It could all be a publicity ploy.   Not saying it is, but it’s totally plausible.   If you lied about assault allegations, why not lie about your feelings, too?   Especially given how internet based her career has been-she really didn’t know what to expect?

based on everything that’s come out in the Dykstra/Hardwick case, I honestly can’t see how anybody short of a conspiracy theorist could still defend her claims

I don’t blame young people for being angry. I understand it. I’ve been there,too.

Nothing Spike said was untrue. But young people have to learn everything again. So it shall be.

I mean, there’s a difference between “white allies” and actual allies. You have the performatively woke white assholes on Twitter who will hashtag BlackLivesMatter and turn around and get on with their gentrification, asking to see the manager, and demanding that people of color continue to do all the emotional labor…

Maybe, many expect a knighthood for their participation and get angry when they don’t get it. :)

I think the problem is that when white allies help history frames it around their experiences and act like they did it alone which I think has fed into our interactions. I mean that’s why we get a lot of movies about white men like Newton Knight (who I guess most people have no idea about) starring a big-name movie…
