When that video first came out, I remember Big Boy from Power 106 here in LA making an announcement that he would never play his music again. He kept his word, from what I remember. Nobody else publicly boycotted his music at the time.

YAS! I have never been so ready to see someone fall. R. Kelly is a predator. He has been from day one. People in Chi don’t mess with him, which is why he moved down to Atl. I was talking about this with a co-worker. This creep needs to be locked away.

To this day, I am amazed at how little flack Lady GaGa caught from her teaming up with R. Kelly.

I’m honestly shocked that R. Kelly still had a career after the pee video. I remember looking around in bewilderment when Step in the name of Love was released and R. Kelly referred to himself as the Pied Piper of R&B.

This is slow to catch on because a lot of people still don’t see nothin wrong.

Oh yeah. I remember seeing some abysmal takes, and I think I just peaced out. No use in talking to people who are so happy to be so lost and lacking human decency.

I can’t remember if it was that VSB post or somewhere else, but some fool actually said R. Kelly making what they consider to be good music was enough to absolve him of wrong doing. Some people are pure trash and are eager to tell us all how trash they are.

Especially when every interaction with a black person at said black church involves you pausing the conversation to get the photographer’s attention.

If you go to church —any church really, but especially a church you are visiting— and bring your photographer to take pictures of you going to church.....
