I don’t see any reason why they can’t continue being artists. Now, whether they’re popular artists or not is up to the audience.

I do think a lot of information that is pushed out is done so to promote certain industries. But I don’t see it as a conspiracy or intentional move to smash the little guy. If Big Ag sees raw milk as a growth area, they are more likely going to buy up farms and lobby for changes to regulations so they can get a piece…
“pasteurized garbage milk”
One could postulate that “rich” generations are more into cooking as a hobby or vocation due to increased time and availability of learning how to cook.
I mean, sure it looks bad but we should really wait for the New York Times to interview these people to see if they’re sad about a steel mill closing.
I definitely can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had the sort of service that warranted a 15% tip. If it was happening more than that, I would just stop going out!
I saw her speak and she admitted that she can’t let go of the houses she has renovated. To the point that she never sells or even rents many of them. She fixes them up and they sit empty. Having a nice looking house is one step towards neighborhood revitalization, but it’s most important to put people in that house.

I had to stop following her on FB just because of her grammar.
Not the biggest fan of those- I preferred the Zebra Cakes.
What tipped you? The repeated use of “claptrap” or the multiple people talking about that horse the author rode in on?
Yeah, I kinda always thought NONE of them deserved the factory. Oompa Loompas should’ve formed a union and taken over and run the factory as an employee owned co-op. To hell with Wonka and the kids.
Also? Ben Stiller’s character, Michael, in Reality Bites. He’s supposed to be the lame boyfriend alternative to hot, inconsiderate, wounded musician Ethan Hawke. Stiller gets dumped on because he has a job, wears a suit, tries to be socially adept, and makes a reality TV pilot that focuses on Winona and her friends’…
No, actually...
RIGHT?!?
He is, in other words, the kind of middling Democrat the party’s base is begging it to move away from.
Mine were like that, like you said, almost too much. Especially on hot days when they still wanted to drape themselves all over me. Now they’ve been gone for 7 years and I miss everything about them. Except the fur on everything I own. Having a non-shedding dog (due to my partner’s allergies) since then has been…
From the dog side: My beloved mother-in-law had a beautiful, stupid Springer Spaniel named Puzzle. That dog followed her everywhere, including into the bathroom and, when she showered, leaned on the shower curtain until he finally just fell into the shower with her. He was a CLEAN dog.
And then there was the couple who couldn’t understand why the cat was shitting all over the house and it turned out they hadn’t cleaned the litterbox for about three months. And the guy who said “if I leave ham on the counter the cat eats it all and then vomits” and Jackson was like “yeah have you ever seen a cat…
I used to live in a third floor apartment, and Loki would sit by the window and meow the second I walked around the corner that led into the courtyard. And it would echo, and I’d have to talk to him all the way up the stairs.
“Uniquely spirited” is a great descriptor. I have five cats, and none of them are true assholes by any stretch of the imagination, but one of them is uniquely spirited and makes me want to scream sometimes. He is extremely intelligent, so he gets bored easily. The other four are content to sleep for 22 hours a day,…
