cue "Just Like Honey" by The Jesus and Mary Chain

Gaby Hoffman as Caroline almost stole the show for me this episode, though. She was on fire.

Jessa-Hannah Bluebell Poem Schlessinger-Sackler.

When Hannah asked her mom to put Scolari on the phone, I was hoping she'd follow up that "hi" with "you need to get the fuck away from this woman"

Ray is a lonely, frustrated man in his thirties whose longest, most meaningful relationship was with the three or four months he spent with Shoshanna when she was a senior in college.

I kind of hope Spike Jonze's insistent suggestion that he might be dead was foreshadowing.

I nearly started crying. Decisions like that are hard to make when they happen in life, and Adam+Lena played each side brilliantly and subtly. It was a little heartbreaking, but I was proud of Hannah for recognizing that they're ultimately not right for one another.

Is it officially defunct? It was my favorite podcast :(

THERE ISN'T

I've said "I've said it before and I'll say it again" before, and I'll say "I've said it before and I'll say it again" again. — Harris Wittels

he’ll probably take the secret of the Eraserhead baby to his grave

I hope when Adam walked off into the night, he decided to leave Brooklyn and never come back. He doesn't deserve this shit, and he definitely doesn't need to be back with Hannah again.

Well, first off—I don't think her involvement in the show has diminished much more than not writing/directing most of the episodes can imply. She's still the show's primary producer (along with Jenni Konner), and she acts in every single episode. It would be like arguing Tina Fey's stamp wasn't on later seasons of 30

It was nice to see somebody else imposing on Jessa. At the same time, it blows my mind what a shitty friend she is to Adam.

Same here. Girls is rarely laugh out loud funny, but that line was so good it surprised me.

Hannah probably should have been fired for convincing a child to get her frenulum pierced.

They're flailing around much less violently than they used to be, though.

I want to punch Ace in the mouth every time I see him, so yeah, he's been doing a pretty good job.

Yeah, it was a really small moment, but it somehow felt like the standout moment of the season to me. Both of Ray and Hannah kind of hate large pieces of their lives right now, but they at least know they have no choice but to soldier through things. The Hannah from five episodes ago would have straight up used her

Why're you always stoned? Just like, like…
Hiiiippie Johnny?
