He also said hundreds of millions of Muslims support terrorism. He's very willing to make racist statements and mean them.

I am assuming by now you've watched the full interview and are embarrassed by your attempt to defend it.
Uh, I think plenty of people don't jump to slavery when someone mentions fields. Especially in a corn belt state.
I'm totally with you there. And if this was a quotation, or an improv satirizing racists or something, it might work. But the context is really clear that it was an off hand remark and that he thinks it's OK to drop an n bomb because rules don't apply to him.
Do you want to Google his comments on Islam and Muslims and get back to us? You may change your attitude.
If a conservative comedian made the joke, would you find it OK because the live audience was OK with it?
I didn't say I was tired of it. I said it was a poor use of resources by writers who have no background in political writing. That's not a difficult distinction to understand.
Man, you're right, let's race to the bottom and just say "good enough" when we slap down some words to lead off a story instead of actually making sure they're correct.
Right, I'm with you. But that's not what the lead said.
Uh…that proves my point? I guess I'm just well provisioned with facts. The lead is incorrect.
Check your lead. Which polls are you basing it on that show consistently declining numbers? I'm not aware of any.
Well that's sad. Hopefully at least it allows them to hire a copyeditor.
Well, idealistically, if people keep asking the question, and commenters respond "That's a good point. These writers have no background in political writing and we can find experts with primary sources covering the stories in a much more timely and in-depth fashion on sites that specialize in this coverage. I never said I was tired of it. I read more politics than any sane human should. I explained why it's a poor choice for the AV Club to cover and not a good use of editorial resources above.
For what reason do you think I'm whining and you jump to condescension? Is this how you act in the real world when someone asks a legitimate question? You must be a stellar conversationalist.
Well, this would be the first time. I'm so glad you're willing to make some giant leap to group me in with other people and make assumptions about me based off a single question. That's definitely what we need more of in this world, jumping to conclusions based on minimum data.
Who is in charge of editorial? How is this even remotely relevant to the site?
I clearly meant the consensus of 100+ people who rated this episode with an A, the highest rating they could give it. I'm sorry if this was too difficult for you to understand. Congratulations on almost having a sick burn on the internet. Advance beyond a third-grade reading level and you'll be sure to earn one soon!
Looking at the unanimous rating it has received thus far, you have to ask yourself, is the show dumb or are you? (I don't mean to be insulting, but usually when people claim something is too arty, they just mean they don't understand or are getting nothing beyond the literal. This probably isn't your show if this…
As they showed, the producers don't miss the fine print. That was for the immunity she got from Sierra, not the vote steal.
