We have individual washrooms in my office, not a large one with stalls. One of the women I work with NEVER locks the door, even though countless people have walked in on her. She’s demented right?

A week ago, I was on an airplane flying from Hawaii to California, and at some point over the Pacific Ocean, decided…
I sincerely appreciate what Amber Rose is doing for women, which I personally think is a lot. This paragraph is absolute truth:
I know little about fashion, either, so I’m going to say it’s the suspenders and matching wrist ribbons that make this look strong. Also, can’t go wrong with a basic white shirt. The hat has a widely recognized shape, and the skirt reminds me of a cake. I think the strength of this outfit may be in taking lots of…
This is the correct take.
So the GOP’s stance is to hold the health of their oh so precious unborn babies hostage to defunding PP and saying Confederate flags are hunky dory.
See, this is what I don’t understand about these new rap kids like Jeff here, and ASAP Celie they want to wear all these looks, but don’t you dare say they’re gay or point out to them what happens to everyday people who are gay who have been dressing like this since before any of them were born they want to fight.
Same with the NY Times, meaning once again, Trump gets his free pass. Hillary had a pretty damning, lawyer-like condemnation about Donald Trump based on fact. Trump just did his blowhard thing and so now they all have to play “both sides did it” when it’s really somebody said cold hard facts and the other person said…
“Green and red motherf——- flag / I dress like a prince, not a f-g / No I’m not gay when I hit it though they rate me,”
C’mon conservatives. Now, even virgin couples that save it for marriage are at risk.
Earlier this year, the White House requested $1.9 billion in emergency Zika funding, but the Republican-led House added numerous riders to the bill, including attempts to defund Planned Parenthood and language about Confederate flag bans.
Exactly. This is how you kill the Tea Party. Sunlight as a disinfectant. This is bad. Do you see it in yourself? Are you bad? Then change.
But the drawback is that this is normalizing/excusing the “moderate” GOP’s brand of racism. The smart thing to do would be to paint the entire party as the party of Trump—you made this, this is who you are, this is who you’ve always been—and wield it as a cudgel going forward.
Yesterday, Democratic candidate for president Hillary Clinton stood on a stage with cameras trained on her and warned…
Re: key differences between KK and MM:
Kara - I thought of you Thursday morning when NPR described Trump as polling “in the high single digits” among African Americans.
I disagree. I’ve seen plenty of white-couple movies where we see the characters talking, talking, talking—developing so that we see what kind of complex, quirky, intense, or whatever, people they are. I haven’t seen many Black-couple movies who not only allow the characters that type of humanity, but also show them…
I take your point that it’s rare for people to actually discuss art in a movie, but I also take his point that this is an important way to present black characters in film. I don’t think it’s really worth being pedantic about.
Just wanted to add a little trivia. On the corner of 53rd Street and Dorchester in Hyde Park (or is that Woodlawn? I can never remember) there is a monument to their first date:
I’ve never seen a movie where two black characters are free to leisurely walk and talk and look at art, and that’s about it.
