Yeah, dude’s made literally over a hundred movies. You’re gonna get some stinkers with that kind of output. Although I’ve seen a dozen+ Miike movies and they have mostly ranged from decent to great (13 Assassins!), which is more than I can say for many directors who produce exponentially less movies than him.

There’s already a Yakuza movie based on the first game and directed by Takashi Miike and it’s a steaming pile of shit.
