I think Superstore is far more similar to the Office than Parks and Rec. It's an adorable show with some genuine laughs but it hasn't reached the heights of The Office and Parks. To be fair it is incredibly hard to reach the sitcom perfection that is the second season of the Office.

That happened. Also the main character has had performed brain surgery on a moving, turbulent plane. Also her mom, sister, husband and a couple of friends have died and most of them died violently through plane crashes, bus crashes and car crashes.

I stopped watching this show after season 3. I just couldn't stomach it any longer. Like mentioned in the article, it became too hard to watch. Also it got really gross, I remember when two characters spit on each other, licked each other and made out and wow that was so so so gross.
