If you’re willing to go for the ugly duckling model years (08-10) then you can snag one well within the $20k mark. You should definitely go for the manual though ;)

I never said it was going to work

That is centered around inter-state relationships, aka the federal jurisdiction. It isn’t really relevant when discussing a city ordinance like this.

That’s an interesting route to take things, and really the only way that would have any traction is if they attempt to ban all non-locals from coming there at all during those times.

I was waiting for someone to catch on to what I was doing, that’s generally not how the law works though.

Typically the cop has to see you pull into and out of such a road without stopping. The whole yellow tag shtick mentioned in the article is a way around that kind of enforcement though.

What law says they can’t do this?

You’d enforce it like any other “No through traffic” style restriction.

Detained would be more accurate.

E(kWh) = int(PF * I(A) * V(V) / 1000) [0<t<t_stop]
Better?

Floyd v. Diaz (either one). Make it happen Dana... Also make sure to use one of those disposable mats for the fight so you don’t have to try and clean Mayweather off the mat...

Didn’t watch or read the article; however I’m just going to assume the answer is nothing good.

New task: Take these images and start designing the most average car of every segment.

Because of #Profits

If we can just make STEMpunk design an actual thing I’ll be the happiest engineer alive. I’ll even toss up a few of the best examples on Oppo later

They should’ve just called the CR-Z the Insight...

You can’t just bring up Subaru right now and not mention this:

The overhead shots posted more recently show what (likely) happened a bit bitter. Looks like the front cars pushed straight through the corner like you’d expect and as they slowed dramatically they kicked the remaining cars off the tracks in the opposite direction (towards oncoming traffic).

That’s what I would assume as well, but I’ve been surprised by hysterically bad regulation before so I’m keeping my expectations low. Even if they did do test runs it would be interesting to see if the runs were at full speed and if they were done with simulated loads in each car.

So we know this was the inaugural run, but I’m wondering if they even bothered running the train through the route empty prior to loading it up. I’m not sure if this is common place in the industry (it should be) but it seems like this sort of catastrophic event may have been avoided if they had.
