This just reminds me of a car driving at night with it’s dome light on. Turn off the light, you can’t see out the windshield!
I’m kind of impartial but I will say a Russian spy with a Russian accent is a bit of a giveaway as far as the whole secret spy thing, so it can be argued the character is able to remove the accent.
I like this kind of thinking when it comes to the past. Not saying any of the stories or events are any less impactful but people in the past didn't have the full grasp of the world and cosmos to not attribute it to the divine. A star sent to guide the wise men? We now know about all kinds of things are flying around…
