Well, if she hadn’t said that, I personally wouldn’t know about this was her 20th nomination. Women should take credit for their achievements. God knows men do — take credit for women’s achievements, as well as their own. #ownit

One dangly earring is no less fashionable than earlobes all stretched out!
I enjoyed my New Wave 80s outfits, thank you very much
Robbie Williams is so cute! They would have been adorable.
Amen. Oprah’s “favorite things” glorifies consumption
I don’t really like the little swipe at Phil Donahue here. His show brought topics to light that were previously taboo in a format where “ordinary” women in the audience could speak up about it. As a kid, I learned about transgender issues because Phil had the model Tula on, and in my memory it was not exploitative --…

I’m not sure that women writers getting their books made into movies is objectionable, even if you don’t like that writer. I’ve never read Picoult --not my style -- but I’m all for more women’s stories being told in every format, more roles for actresses, more roles for actresses of color, more money for Viola Davis.
Bette was the best. Ann Margret often told the story of being a young Hollywood ingenue making one of her first films with Davis, who was encouraging and supportive in her Old Hollywood way. She was not a bitch like Joan Crawford, known child abuser.

I thought Taylor preferred men? But they seem happy, whatever
Cheryl is a large person, and her face is proportional to the rest of her body. But I agree the photo is weird
