Confirmed:

The walls were high to limit ground rule doubles since the ball bounced so high off of the astroturf. The move towards grass came with lower walls.

Why don’t they build another cup out of the old bands? They’ve already made a replica, call the “new” one the Millenium Cup or something and tour it around too.
