You know how John Roberts could have shown courage?

At Trump’s press conference with Theresa May when Trump attacked CNN as fake news and went straight to John Roberts, Roberts could have stood up and shown a spine then and rebutted it or even asked Jim Acosta’s question for him to prevent Cheeto Benito from evading

So you don’t think its a threat that if the workers would unionize he wouldn’t fix the problem and they’d have to take collective action like a strike to try to fix it? How do Musk’s boots taste, exactly?

And with your nolo.com post, you just proved me CORRECT.   You cannot be forced to join a union, it says it right

WOW. How uninformed can one person be?

His statement was CLEAR. He’ll fix the problem if you don’t unionize. The alternative is simply he won’t fix the problem if you unionize. If he was going to fix it in either case, it would be “I’ll fix your problem”. Period. No conditional on not doing something you have the right

The lengths to which Musk’s fanbois are willing to make excuses for this abhorrent behavior is incredible...

You’re delusional. He clearly stated he would fix the problems if they don’t form a union. That’s a threat. plain and simple.

You’re giving far too much credit to someone who is showing more and more sociopathic tendencies like baselessly calling someone a pedophile.

And you’ve completely fallen for the right-wing

You think the Tundra would outsell the F-series on retail only?

Overall, Ford sells roughly 1/3 of its vehicles to fleets. 15% of its total sales go to rentals, the rest of the fleet sales are government or business, which are highly profitable sales - and discounting them is absurd. I’d wager that rental fleet sales

F-650 and -750  are counted under the “heavy duty truck” sales figures.  F-550 and down are counted as F-series, IIRC.

Sorry, but you’re simply repeating right-wing anti-union diatribes now...

If you think Musk is for workers voting, you’re out of your mind...

And yes, there IS such a law, and it has NOTHING to do with “right to work” states. It is not legal in ANY state for management to threaten workers with retaliation over unionization... and saying you’ll fix the problems IF they don’t unionize is

You missed the point. The UNION has to pay reasonable costs for his representation (even if he loses)

pfft... I agree that the goal should be that no workers find unions necessary because management should treat them well enough to avoid it. That said, I also think that unions still serve a critical purpose and workers’ rights to collectively bargain should not be abridged. This was clearly a threat if he worded it as

The “reasons” for overturning Abood were tortured at best, and certainly not substantial.

So you think its a winning strategy long term?  There’s a remote possibility it might improve employment in a VERY long timeframe - but a HIGH probability it destroys the economy in the short, mid, and even long term.  And you want to take that risk?

You’re being extraordinarily generous...

Saying you’ll solve the problem if they don’t unionize is exactly what has been accused here... and that is illegal, because it is a threat to retaliate and not solve the problem if they unionize.

Right - and the only way prices come back down is if the tariffs are in place long enough to justify the massive investment to ramp up production.

So in the meantime, prices soar, the economy collapses, people lose their jobs, demand plummets, and maybe, just maybe, if you keep the tariffs for 15+ years, hiring will

Good lord, how could it take so long to set up and tear down for this event?

They only take a couple days to set up and tear down for the Rose Parade, and that has typically 7-8x as many people over a route just about 2.5x as long....
