Think for a minute.

They’re either going to expand Hermosillo so much that it will be the same net effect as building a new plant, or they are looking at a soft market and determining that they have no need to build new capacity.

They can’t add the Focus to the Fusion and MKZ production in Hermosillo without a large

Look at the details of the move.

Move the Focus to Hermosillo. But Hermosillo is already running at full capacity. So they have to expand Hermosillo dramatically or they have to move the Fusion and MKZ. The only plant with spare capacity would be Wayne, but that would preclude adding new vehicles to their offerings

Exactly.

And the only way they can do so is by either investing a fortune into expanding Hermosillo (same net effect as a new plant) or by moving the Fusion / MKZ to Wayne and cancelling plans for new production there - in other words, this could be a sign that they don’t see sales improving and they have no need for

He’s simply kissing the emperor’s ring.

Ford can’t move the Focus to Hermosillo without either a massive plant expansion there (same net effect as building a new plant in Mexico) or moving Fusion / MKZ production to Wayne, which means they’re anticipating a soft market that wouldn’t support the new vehicles they were

There is no capacity at Hermosillo for this move without relocating Fusion and MKZ production. That means either building another plant (no word where) or moving them into Wayne and cancelling the rumored Ranger / other production. In other words, a sign that the market isn’t

This is being massively overhyped.

Ford doesn’t have excess capacity in Hermosillo. None at all.

So that leaves two options:

1) Ford is going to expand Hermosillo - meaning the investment will still be made in Mexico, just in a different location

or

2) Ford is going to relocate Fusion / MKZ production. The only place

What’s sad is how much better things were handled whenever Obama or Biden or Bush came to town. No idea how they could f up with Trump so badly. Guess it’s just a preview of the coming incompetence.

When he came to Cincinnati, they would warn us of what highways would be closed when. It would cause traffic backups on other highways, but they would be fairly minor - no worse than a normal accident cleanup, and the highways he would be on would be reopened soon after he passed.

When Trump came for his “thank you
