Or, you know, they didn't announce it because they aren't actually making it, despite 5 years of "rumors" and "leaks" to the contrary.

Final Fantasy has crossed over with Mario before. MGS for gamecube had a Mario and Yoshi doll and references to other Nintendo games. Pac Man was in a few arcade Mario Karts. There was a Mario and Street Fighter crossover comic in some German magazine.   I dunno about Persona tho

I mean, Minecraft had a large Super Mario free DLC bundle with Nintendo versions

I’m absolutely baffled by this limited release as well, but I think I have a theory. Nintendo’s had an extremely hard time adapting to remote work during the pandemic (harder than most devs, especially in the west), which has probably greatly slowed their creative output. These Mario rereleases may have been planned

I played the first level of Kid Dracula and the music is hilarious, a major-key rendition of Vampire Killer.

I should clarify.

I keep wanting to give PSO2 a chance but it’s waaaaay too ‘anime’ for my tastes. I loved the OG PSO though.

Oh god yes, Yoshi’s Island is the best. That art style, the level design, the music, just that perfect slow and relaxing pacing with lots of secrets to uncover. I’m okay with us not considering them “Mario” games, though. Yoshi games are their own franchise by now.

You know I’m in the same camp as you with Mario games. I mean part of it is I was the right age to get swept up in the Mario culture boom that came out with 3, so I have so many pleasant gaming related memories attached both to 3 and 3's art style in general. Everything SMB3 did just blew me away, and changed what I

In 1993 each copy of Gunstar came with a Fruit Roll-Up inside. A few years later, my used copy from a local flea market contained a small, living spider. Conclusion: Definitely eat Fruit Roll-Ups before their expiration date.

what if they’re not someone’s personal favorites tho

makes you think

The big Mario debate is usually Super Mario Bros. 3 vs. Super Mario World. I favor 3 myself—it blew me away, while World felt less freshbut I can’t begrudge anyone going with their heart.

Gotta go with Ninja GaidenI haven’t beaten it to this day, but I still love to play—and Uncharted 4. It’s hard to pick an Uncharted, actually. Can a whole series be one entry?

Teenage goth-ish me wants to throw in either American Mcgee’s Alice or Alice: Madness Returns. I was in love with those aesthetics and the

Montezuma’s Revenge (on the Atari 800 ) it’s largely forgotten in the US as it wasn’t a console game (although it was ported .....to the Sega Master System, which again meant very little in the US, and the Atari 2600 , but too late to really get noticed) It was a pixel perfect platformer that got really tricky in

Shit’s awful, and made worse by the fact that most of the fans of these creators are also minors. A lot of them don’t apparently understand why an adult shouldn’t have a relationship with a minor because they’ve... never been an adult. Has led to a lot of vile shit on Twitter and Reddit. Used to really enjoy the Smash

That’s certainly fair, it just seems there is never mentions of previous piloting games in the Star Wars Franchise.

It’s odd whenever I see a story about this game, there is zero mention of Rogue Squadron games. I get that it’s a different developer, etc. but it’s basically Rogue Squadron.

Definitely make your own stuff if you can afford to on the side, but don’t work for free either if you can help it. That’s how I did it!

try making video essays! make an essay about your favorite game and see through all aspects of production of a comprehensive video about it. i did that for the dragon quest series in celebration of dragon quest xi, and people seemed to like that one. i mean, to be fair, i did that while working here, though you know

Sonic Mania helped bring Sonic back, so maybe we need Hooters Mania! Since Sonic had old stages brought back, we should have old ladies that used to work at Hooters decades ago come back as waitresses! It’s foolproof!
