I would love for you to show me when Zelda hasn’t been cartoony. Because I’m pretty sure it was only Twilight Princess.

Have you actually played any Nintendo games in the past five years? Because the way you talk about them makes me think that you only know post-Wii Nintendo through their marketing (which evidently, is their real problem).

They used to be really funny about 10 years ago. I thought it was nostalgia, but they really have gotten worse. The Xbox/PS2/GCN - 360/PS3/Wii era was their golden age, art and writing wise. They also had some great commissioned comics around then too, when they weren’t pouring money into failed projects.

Kirby’s About To MAKE YOU HIS BITCH

In a perfect world, what would Nintendo announce or unveil at E3 this year?

I love Drive. I get why some people can’t stand it, but it’s got such a cool aesthetic. Classic soundtrack, too.

I finally beat Demon’s Souls this year! So that’s over shadowed any other accomplishment so far.

The joke itself is just getting really old. I have had maybe one level deleted? People act like Nintendo is just liberally clearing swaths of levels from the server. There’s still millions out there.

I appreciate your awareness of the lack of historical conext, Brian. I like some of the images, but so many people suddenly become amateur art historians when they wanna criticize “modern art.”

Exactly. If you wanna make another $225 million game/movie, $20 mil ain’t gonna cut it.

Atlus is also owned by Sega and P5 isn’t even launching on a Nintendo platform... People are just trying to stir up controversy where there is none.

The lifetime sales of the GameCube were 10 million behind the N64. It only managed to outsell the Dreamcast. But, no matter how awesome the GameCube and Dreamcast were, like you said numbers are numbers. It’s a sad fact, but lots of gamers don’t understand that Nintendo’s drastic left-turns with the DS, Wii, and Wii U

Those RE GameCube games are a sad story, though. They were fantastic exclusives—part of a deal Capcom made with Nintendo to make 5 GameCube-only titles—but every single one of them got ported because of lackluster sales. The GameCube version of Resident Evil 4 has an “Only On” tag even as Capcom announced a PS2

Quality and success are two very different things. I love the GameCube as much as the Wii U—they both have fantastic libraries if you love Nintendo games! But the GameCube was similar to the Wii U in that it gambled on risky concepts that didn’t pay off. It had tiny discs and no DVD playback at a time when that was a

Uh, were you around for the GameCube? Dark days, they were.

Star Fox and crying, mostly.

I think you’ll like it, knowing the titles you’ve been a fan of on TAY! Personally, I’ve play a lot of Splatoon and the two-screen motion control scheme is like second nature to me. But then again, I tend to like a lot of “wonky” polarizing games, like Sonic Adventure 2 and Star Fox Assault. This is the most fun I’ve

Personally, I think you’re underselling Platinum a bit. Bayonetta 1 & 2 aren’t just good, they’re excellent! Wonderful 101 was very much underrated as well. I thought Metal Gear Rising was abyssmal, but that seems to be just me. Point is, they take more risks and have a much more varied portfolio than a dev like From

If I recall, it didn’t become a controversy until that Facebook comment. No one cared before then. So I don’t see how any drama came from “SJWs” unless we’re talking about the faint whisper of them on the wind.

But they do have DS games on the Virtual Console store. It’s a small selection, but they’re there. And the GBA library is impressive.
