He was initially charged with reckless driving but after review it was determined the guy wasn’t set and the call was reversed.

Step 1: get
Step 2: gud

In all seriousness, this fight isn’t that terrible. When I figured out you had to cut the strings holding the puppet up, it was a great EUREKA moment. And, I mean, whenever you had to use the boomerang to cut things earlier in the game, you were never given a Z target option. And like, for the Read more

If RPGs and JRPGs aren’t your jam, there’s certainly nothing wrong with that. I am a huge JRPG and RPG fan, but I wouldn’t want to be condemned for not being into God War, Assassin’s Creed, CoD, or any other huge franchise that just can’t seem to get into. Read more

I feel like Earthbound is easier to appreciate if you’ve already played many other JRPGs since it does so much meta stuff. But if you get a few under your belt I’d highly recommend giving it another shot, it can easily be knocked out after a couple play sessions. Read more

Hmmm...maybe. There is a lot of other things I’m not fond of with JRPGs (aesthetics, dialogue, etc), but real-time combat would go a long way to helping.  I’ll keep in it mind, thanks for the recommendations!

I think you picked the best Final Fantasy ever to start with. Going by the list in said article, I will second Chrono Trigger, Persona 5, Final Fantasy VII, Trails on the Sky, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Kingdom Hearts 2. None of the others I’ve played more than a tiny bit except for Ni No Kuni, but I Read more

Jason’s list is pretty definitive. There’s a few on there I haven’t played that I’ve heard plenty of people and professional game people rave about. There’s always room for give and take on any list but it’s a really solid list that touches a variety of types of JRPGs. I would take individual people’s suggestions with Read more

I count this game among my favorites but yeah I can admit that the puppet Ganon isn’t a very fun boss fight. The last two phases feels like attempts to translate bosses from super nintendo (Contra, and Link to the past.) into 3D versions. Read more

Perhaps you’re fighting puppet gannon wrong, perhaps, instead of trying to reveal his true nature across three forms with a swing of the master sword, his true nature is better revealed through masterful strokes of The Pen. Read more
