Thanks for clarifying!

Agreed. If the idea is to be more of less uniform, then, be more or less uniform. So I've got no idea why it's women are actually not allowed to shave their heads in many cases.

Seriously can we just...

Seems to me we're seeing a split between those who want to address the issue in theory, taking a largely academic approach—hence jargony terms like rape culture; and those who are trying to have a real practical impact to reduce rape.

Yeah, and frankly, the organization seems to have a much more effective approach than those who think all men are potential rapists who don't know any better and therefore teaching consent will reduce rape.

I agree, completely I don't buy this notion that most rapists just don't know where the lines are. While there can be certain circumstances in which both people are drunk and confused, such cases would be fairly isolated at best.

There's a problem with this definition of consent "the only yes is an enthusiastic one." While I certainly agree that the absence of a no is not enough, defining rape as the absence of an "enthusiastic yes" expands the definition of rape so widely that it makes it all the more difficult to address situations where

Yeah, no question most pron is geared towards men, and particularly men simply using the woman for sex, but saying that is what porn is fundamentally for ignores the porn for women—of all sexual orientations, and it ignores the fact that many men prefer porn where the women is actually enjoying the sex herself and not

Not a hard and fast rule, but does seem to be a trend to me. And not in a "woe is me" sort of way, just an observation.

Yeah, the whole thing was just an insulting stereotype for everyone.

Yeah, this is more like "Rules for Dating a Total Sociopath."

My gf does as well. It's the most important sex of the day!

See, I can legitimately say that I oppose sexist statements, period. They're wrong, wherever they come from, as are those that try to justify them.

She doesn't seem to know what false equivalency means. Suggesting that the degree of discrimination against men and women in our society is somehow equal would be false equivalency.

There's nothing "false" about thinking that sexist discrimination is wrong. If you think it's okay in certain circumstances, then you're NOT actually opposed to sexist discrimination. THAT says a lot.

You mean you don't fight sexist discrimination with more sexist discrimination? How else do you expect us all to be equal, opposing sexism?? pffffttt!!!

I for one never believed anything anyone said about what they ate until I could see pictures of the food at their table, though I'm still known to accuse "photoshop!" when someone shows me an especially scrumptious meal.
