Use powered egg shells to buffer the acids. You will just neutralise the acids rather than make it alkaline. It wont tast salty as your not adding sodium and you wont risk adding to much because what isnt reacted just falls to the bottom. Leaving the coffee tasting much better.

May try powdering egg shels and add some to your coffee instead. For many, its too easy to get too much sodium, while at the same time, many strugle to get enough calcium

Agreed. If brewed too hot it can make ones coffee to acidic and bitter. So it does rescuse bad coffee.
