Jensen Ackles and Erin Moriarty did outstanding work on The Boys.

Well, they made us aware of it.

I would switch God of War: Ragnarok and Elden Ring, personally. Elden Ring was sublime for the first two thirds, but really starts to wear thin once you hit the Mountaintops of the Giants. The pacing kinda falls apart, the re-use of the mini dungeon assets stats to grate. Couple that with writing that is, as always,

Some people don’t play games for crushing difficulty, and that’s fine too. The people I heard talk about Kirby said it was a lovely experience, and a balm to Elden’s punishing gameplay. Don’t gatekeep.

Uhhh..... STRAY?! Y’all are just gonna leave out the 2022 Best Indie Game winner?

Chvrches!

Wow. Insta-Godwin.

Well done.

I was wondering which moment from “Andor” would wind up on the list. Man, there are a LOT of contenders. I would have put Kino Loy’s speech, the escape through the Eye and Maarva’s post-mortem call to arms ahead of Luthen’s monologue.

I was gonna suggest that Heartstopper scene. I’m familiar with Clearest Blue so I expected something big to happen at the beat drop and sure enough it did.

I majored in English (despite what it looks like from the poor proofreading of my posts), but I never use it the correct way either. It just sounds fun when it means “where.”

For me one of my favorite moments was in Andor when Luthien get caught in an imperial ship’s tractor beam and while they’re grilling him and getting ready to board his ship he’s pretending to be a dithering old man, all the while he’s getting ready to open a can of whup ass on them.

It’s so rare that I’ve seen the shows being talked about in this kind of exercise, but between WWDITS, The Bear, Andor, and Barry, I feel pretty satisfied with this one.

Andor - when they realize what’s going on in the prison and Kino finally answers Andor’s question without hesitating. Still makes me pumped when I think about it.

Now playing

With Andor you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to memorable scenes (the entire heist scene, the star destroyer coming over the landscape - as someone who knows that area of Scotland pretty well, that was a “fuck me” moment - and the various monologues/speeches were all exceptional) but, yeah, Luthen’s verbal assaul

That speech from Andor was god tier, and so far beyond what I might have hoped or expected from that show. It was phenomenal.

It's clear to me that Henry Cavill is playing the studios off against each other, claiming he can't work with one because he's too busy at another, with the ultimate aim of just staying home and playing with his Warhammer figurines

Right, so go back to the Witcher.

I get that the application of the Death Penalty comes with plenty of disparities in how it is applied. In the case of most of these “gentleman”, I’m not sure I fully agree that they shouldn’t pay a stiffer penalty.

I think it’s likely different for anyone who uses she/they pronouns. I use she/they pronouns, I prefer they/them, but I’m not bothered if people use she/her, it doesn’t make me uncomfortable. I’m not out as NB at work for example so I use she/her in that setting, but with my friends I use they/them. There is no one

So then let’s celebrate this win!? The tone here and that I’ve seen elsewhere has been decidedly “meh” on this passing when it seems like there really isn’t much more we could expect at this time. I mean it had a homophobic congresswoman literally crying on the floor of the House, so it’s can’t be all that bad.
