People are tired of all your white privilege, racism, misogyny, transphobia shit. They’ve had enough.

so should we... not tell people when they do things that are wrong and just let them do them?
I was flipping between CNN and CBC tonight and ended up landing on CBC because I was transfixed by their panel. They did not hold back at all. I will watch anything that features Danielle Moodie-Mills, forever. She was so passionate and articulate, but also heartbreakingly defeated.
I’ve already posted this elsewhere, but here it goes again, with updated numbers, because it will never be too much:
If I were on the receiving end of that, I’d be enraged, too.
Not all America. Please don’t forget that part. Looks like it’s half of America. Sorry that we are in the half that gets the worst of it.
I am part German, and for as long as I can remember, Americans have asked me how on earth Hitler could have been elected in such an advanced and wealthy nation. Perhaps they will no longer have to ask.
This shit pisses me off to no end. I get that for various reasons someone could hate both candidates. But the thing is, even though they may both be bad, they are complete opposites on many important issues. One of these two people will be President. Like it or not, that is where we stand right now. And if any of…
And the truly messed up thing is, white guys will benefit from a Clinton Presidency more than anyone.
Her economic positions and goals are specifically designed to benefit the middle class, which consists primarily of white guys.
The other guy’s positions, to the extent that he has any, are specifically designed to help…
It’s just amazing that they think it’s a novel idea to NOT have to be in love 100% with a candidate before voting.... they can’t wrap their pointy little heads around the fact that you don’t have to like a candidate, just vote for the best one. It’s not making a new BFF, it’s civic duty. It’s not about you,…
And if you are extremely privileged, how about voting in support of all your friends and family who have something to lose?
As a white male with a good amount of privilege, I voted based on what’s at stake for the rest of you, too. How people can’t wrap their heads around that astounds me. There was a tweet I saw, can’t remember where, that went something like:
It’s amazing how many people seem to think that they, specifically, are noteworthy for having misgivings about both candidates in a presidential election. As if most people haven’t felt that way in most elections for all of time. Especially since most people in this country, prior to the past 8 years or so, haven’t…
I don’t know why but it stuns me to see the gloating deployment of the noun “caucasian” by a national political party in this way.
I hope you contacted the office of Rev. Barber, president of the North Carolina NAACP. There is a lot of bad news in NC, but the NC branch of the NAACP has built an amazing coalition with LGBT Rights groups, Trans-rights activists, the Raging Grannies, Jews for Justice and several other groups down here.
I’m a native Tennessean. I was represented by a Democrat in Congress until the Tea Party took over in 2010. People I’ve known forever have shocked me with their hate and ugliness. I don’t recognize the town I grew up in anymore.
It is really sad to see what’s happened to North Carolina since the Tea Baggers got control.
Starred by a white North Carolinian. It’s been disenfranchising seeing my state’s true nature come out. This is not the NC (or the US for that matter) that I thought I grew up in.
Yes we white folks in Western Massachusetts begs our brothers and sisters please please please flush these candidates down the toilet where their mouths belong. The we can all head out together for pasta and whiskey or whatever sounds like celebration food Tuesday night.
Much good it did them. Nate Silver just put North Carolina in the blue column.
