This seems like a pretty lousy sale. Sonic Frontiers was available on other platforms for around $30 during the holiday sales. Return to Monkey Island was around $15. Doom Eternal was under $10. Skyrim Anniversary edition was under $20. Then we have Nintendo’s first-party games, which are barely discounted despite

The “your mom’s a fat slut” argument, however, remained.

It wasn’t THAT long ago that Nintendo had a “Nintendo Selects” line that discounted their big first-party games to $20. They stopped doing it in 2015 apparently.

All the first party Nintendo Switch titles should be 29.99 to 19.99, but greedy Nintendo can’t do that. A sale for Nintendo is 49.99 or 42.99. Mario games can’t go for cheap. It’s against the law!

On top of the fact that, while Link’s Awakening is an all-time classic and one of my favorite games, it’s also a faithful remake of a 30 year old Game Boy game that you can easily beat in like 6 hours. Not that gameplay time should correlate to value or quality much or at all, but it’s still a tough sell for a lot of

It’s adorable* that a big sale for Nintendo is slashing the price of a $60 game released in 2019 (Link’s Awakening) by a whopping $18.

Yeah when a journalist reaches out to you for comment, THAT is the chance to clear the record, not ignoring it and making your own video weeks later.

I mean...you CAN. That is definitely a choice one could make if they were so inclined, I suppose.

That is not how liability works Paul. You are the head of the project you are directly liable and responsible for the bad your people do. Man up, apologize and face the music.

It’s not the same, the dislike ratio is one of the factors in reach. It’s just that the calculation is substantially more complex (like correlating watch time to reaction, etc).

Anyone who thinks the “wife guy” concept is something that really needs discussion or elaboration, please report to the nearest reeducation clamps.

I’m not a crook I’m just an idiot - I swear!’

I mean as far as defenses go most will buy it from Logan.

“a con man who fooled billionaires, the Mormon Church, the owner of the New York Yankees, and now me.”

Good idea to target other con men and the stupid. Someone read Art Of The Deal.

My job as a journalist is to reach out to all parties. Logan had accused Zach of stealing his code. I reached out to Zach and got his story and then reached back out to Logan and his manager in response. Logan and his manager chose to not comment and then get upset when I quote the guy they hired.”

Oh, it’s going well!

I just hate these kinds of responses. Just say the truth “we gotta cover these up so we don’t get age restricted or cancelled”. Don’t try to sell it as if it’s because the players want less revealing outfits, if you’re a fan of asian MMOs with an anime inspired character design you know what you’re getting into

I kind of took that as a indication that Blanc’s skills lay in unraveling complicated situations and seeing the nuance in things, and there’s no real nuance in simply checking off lists of things and exhausting possibilities by brute force.

I like that he sucked at this and admitted he was terrible at Clue too.

They didn’t find “direct evidence”? Meaning they did find evidence, but it was plausbly deniable, so they made him do a performative apology and went right back to pretending nothing was wrong?

Most of these so-called “influencers” are so disconnected from reality and live in their own made up universes that common sensibilities are lost on them. He’s learned nothing, will learn nothing, and at best he’ll attempt to put on a mask on his streams to try and make people think he has

He’s taking it seriously, after getting fired for not taking it seriously while he was suspended for not taking it seriously.
