I don’t think anyone is expecting them to look as good as the last two games. All they need to do is port the PS4 remasters. How Sackboy Adventure got ported before the Nathan Drake Collection, I’ll never know.

So... is Sony ever going to port the first 3 Uncharted games to PC? Starting with the last two games in a story-driven series with a recurring cast of characters is baffling, to say the least. That might also explain why Lost Legacy’s PC sales have been underwhelming compared to the other ports.

That’s an understatement. the fact that Sony built in a trap for anyone who used discounts to get PS+ subs, where they were stuck either being forced to shell out hundreds of dollars or be unable to use their account, until public outcry caused them to ditch the plan just shows how poorly thought out the launch was.

Seeing Pentiment come out of Obsidian post-Microsoft acquisition makes me wonder if we’re going to see Xbox step into that role of “platform holder publishing weird A/AA stuff to attract users”. The new economics of Game Pass might allow for that in a way buying games individually no longer encouraged at the highest…

In my opinion, this was the year that solidified the fact that the Playstation experience has narrowed from their wild and creative first and second party output across most of their history to a very narrow focus on photorealistic / “cinematic” open-world AAA games. Each of their modern series (the few that are left)…

The only episode of S4 that wasn’t actively awful was the Body Swap.
