I'm all for curbing excessive military spending. But considering we're not a landlocked country, our Navy is the best buffer that we have from other nations.

There's a lot of police bashing happening in the comments... and it seems like people aren't fully understanding what the DPD is trying to do.

I see what you're saying with the legs thing. But if you didn't have them... you'd have a pretty hard time moving up and down stairs at a moderate pace.

This definitely isn't as cut and dry as the article makes it sound. Obviously it'd be stupid for a soldier to wear this in combat... but soldiers don't spend 100% of their time deployed in firefights.
