Interesting sidenote: there is a 'cult of black Philip' on Youtube that uploads radio stuff by the late Patrice O'Neal.
Godless is a synonym for wickedness. It's especially apt because the sentence starts with a reference to the Judeo-Christian God, and it appears to target Republicans or right-leaning voters. In which case, 'godless' should be more effective rhetorically.
Yeah, whatever.
It was more than enough. Haven't thought about Wimpy for 15 years, maybe. It all immediately came back with that. Thanks.
I'm one day younger than she is! Also, I love her.
I was dubious while reading that part, and jumped to the comments if anyone else did too. I don't understand why people would expose themselves this way. If you get asked a question, and don't know the answer, why not just say that? Seems easier, and no chance to be proved wrong.
Thank you for this, and I'm glad you found what you wanted.
I wonder if Gretchen gets prescribed cannabis, as it is legal in California. Would sidestep some of the deeper, darker issues of prescription drugs that you bring up. But I don't know how that would work comedically in the YtW universe.
That small hitch before 'stayed' was killer. I remember watching that scene and thinking, that's what I would've said and felt if my ex-girlfriend stayed. I was so happy for Gretchen that Jimmy stayed, while being sorry for myself, because (a) I didn't get what she got, (b) I knew (then) that I didn't deserve to get…
Thanks for that. And please. Feel free. I love reading stories about this sort of stuff. Makes me feel more un-alone, as all the people I know claim to have had amicable breakups.
These seem sincere. I…I don't know what to do.
I also read that book. Got it for, like, 50 cents at a secondhand bookshop. I always liked MvF. Even found Adam's smarmy jokes tolerable because the people he spoke to seemed into it. But man, that book. It was half basic MvF script that would've worked better for television than a book, and half personal stories that…
The blanket fort scene last season was what I wanted for myself when I was sad. I had to make do with being broken up with outright. Well, she said she needed a break from all the 'negativity' and 'toxicity', while changing into her work clothes. She left. Never saw her again. Which means I watch that blanket fort…
Thank God someone finally said something about zebras being unusual!
I think 'jeah' was first used by MC Eiht way back when.
I watched Dennis Miller's Black and White back in 2004-ish and I went right out to buy his other stuff. Even his books. They were terrible. Never again.
That was excellent.
