I wonder if that was in the article?

This is exactly what I was going to comment on..

On many newer GM’s, they illuminate the backup lights when you unlock your car to get in, or when you park and exit your car. The idea is convenience perimeter lighting, but in practice it makes it look like you left your car in reverse, or you are suddenly backing up without the brakes applied.

And they could use some nice motivational slogans, like, I dunno, maybe “Work will set you free”

It’s that garbage where GM vehicles turn on their reverse lights when you open a door, unlock it, approach it, etc. It’s so shitty and common on their vehicles that about 95% of the time when you see reverse lights lit on a GM vehicle they mean nothing. As such, I now ignore them on all GM vehicles and feel zero

Oh I realize the costs are high, even though you broke it down more than I realized.

GMs now turn their backup lights on whenever you unlock/park or park the vehicle. This make sit look like the car is about to backup when really they just hit unlock on their keyfob. VERY annoying

I want to like Doug, but his voice is really annoying to me.

Okay so I’m not the only one? I make a point of clicking “not interested” every time Shmee and Vehicle Virgins come up, but they still appear - even when the videos I’ve been watching have fuck-all to do with cars.

So in GM cars when you unlock the car, the reverse lights come on and stay on for a set amount of time. Think in my old Grand Prix I could set it for 10, 30 or 60 seconds. I guess the thinking is so you can see at night when you are coming to the car to load it up maybe? Go to any busy parking lot and watch people

When you walk up to certain GM-model car, the reverse lights illuminate when you open or close the doors. I don’t know with 100% certainty but I’m fairly certain they stay on when you unlock the vehicle until you start it AND stay on from when you turn off the vehicle until you lock it. Either way, it’s extremely

When you lock/unlock your stupid, fucking GM vehicle at night, it illuminates the headlights, mirror puddle lights, and reverse indicators to illuminate the area around your car.

However, whereas headlights and puddle lights are not used to signal movement, reverse indicators are used to indicate an intent to reverse

When you unlock the doors on a newer GM vehicle the reverse lights turn on. Super stupid.

The damage looks supraficial.

Lots and Lots of debt can get you pretty much anything. Though I’m not sure how a bank finances anything based off of a Youtube “job”.

I’m not sure encouraging employees to take pay cuts or below-market wages “for the mission” sends the right message.
