I was in college in 1980. You won’t believe how much that 2001 Civic cost back then.

Balanced?
All activities pursued by Jalops must be pre-cleared against a spreadsheet of activities you pursue in order to be worthy, correct? Just checking before I start my day; let me know which meetings you wouldn't take so I can cancel them.
What about a used Fiero though?
Then there are mid-engine cars that require engine-out service, or at least a lift...
Really? I did my PhD in physics in the early 80s and we used exclusively SI units, although we did use the c=1 shortcut in particle physics. The engineering students for whom I was physics TA also used SI exclusively.
Agree totally, but on the flip side, having a Rolex doesn’t mean you AREN’T an enthusiast either. Many of their models are great watches.
One issue I have with many watches is that my wrists are very thin (less than 6 inches) for a male. That makes it hard for me to find watches that fit - another reason I like the Nomos manufacture.
Sinns are beautiful. I love the “tool watch” look. Many years ago I was going to buy an 857 but at the last minute I could no longer comfortably afford it and I decided to hold off.

Nomos Glashütte. See my response to Goodeveningofficer in the thread.
Nomos Glashütte. A Tangente and a Club. I wanted in house movements, but can’t afford Lange. Now that Nomos has 100% in house movements (even the hairspring is in house now) I might consider one of their new models.
I'm a big fan of German mechanical watches and am lucky enough to own a couple.
Well, anti-Semitism, you know...
So it's a British car then.
Not sure about dealerships, but almost any business that I've worked at has made me sign an onboarding agreement saying, among other things, that I cannot subvert the business model of the employer for personal gain.
You got bupkis, sez Laws of Chemistry.
Also, Incontinentia...Incontinentia Buttocks.
But I thought in the novice group, instructors ride with you and moderate such behavior?
That's what you get for having winter in July. Or something...
