Did you read the article? Dealers won't do a thing for you until you have the official recall letter, so this is what to do until those get sent out.

Getting audio to a modern TV or to a stereo/speakers is pretty simple compared to getting the video there. You'd simply use the same audio hookups you used before and get a proper analog adapter if needed for a few bucks.
