Im curious to see how it goes. Itll be interesting to see if Belgium fries them.

overwatch’s lootboxes are not tied to progression though, these ones are. it’s a key difference. although i wouldn’t mind seeing loot boxes burn to the ground either.

I’m pretty sure this would fulfill one of Kirk’s predictions for 2017: that Donald Trump gets embroiled in some video game controversy

it took 30 years but now finally the world has grown dumb enough to collectively believe the “my uncle works at Nintendo” trick

Props to you for the professional tone of the message you sent him. You empathized, and then you were very up front about your intentions. In a sea of accusatory claims and negative communication, bravo for bucking that.

A great example for the d-bags who like to say “Kotaku is just clickbait.” Good stuff.

Great job man! Seriously Jason. You do some of the absolute best investigative journalism not only in the gaming industry, but period.

That awesome moment someone on a video game blog is a better investigative journalist this half the media in the nation. Anyway, I believe he is lying(it’s obvious) but I don’t say that to be mean to him. I wonder what was his reason for doing something like this? It seems very strange. I hope this gets an update.

I have not said anything good about Gamestop in a very long time, but quite honestly, this program is very intriguing. In some respects, it’s a win-win for company and customers with a very specific buying habit.

“We forgot that we can sell much of our pre-owned stock of games between now and the holiday shopping season. So we’ll resume the program once we have more money and fewer used games to rent.”

Hell when I worked at blockbuster they were using dos for everything and that was back in 2007. Im sure gamestop hasnt bothered updating whatever POS system they used in at least 10+ years.

As always, HR is not there to help or protect you from the company. HR is there to protect the company from YOU.

People need to realize HR departments aren’t there for your rights. They are there to protect the company. The company will always come first.

If no executive is fired, then the statement is completely meaningless. Someone made the call to make her sign that form, who was it?

a common thread in these recent stories seems to be how poorly HR departments handle claims and really only serve the company’s best interests rather than its employees. Hopefully these shitty incidents will spark some change.

Heather. Thank you. As a vet, I go through life with invisible wounds. Wounds that effect my family and I in more ways than can be put into words. But your words are one of the best “thank you’s“ I’ve ever read or received. So ma’am, thanks for making me tear up.

He might not have enough equity in his home. Or his home’s resale value could be too low. Or he could be in an underwater mortgage anyway. Or just have terrible credit. Or the repayment of such a loan might exceed his finances. Or he’s dumb and never thought about a loan of any type.

I’ve done event management support for stuff like this for the better part of the last decade. Big stuff, stuff that rhymes with Tragic:The Blathering. You can smell inexperienced organizers from a mile away. If they haven’t turned a profit before the doors open, they have no idea what they are doing, and if they need

Rule #1 of event planning: Get other people to sponsor it.
