Man did you watch that vid? There wasn’t all that much done in the way of photoshop. The costume was all real, the location was real, the bodypaint and makeup were all real... the only things that weren’t in the touched up pictures were the lighting (because not everybody has a literal eternity to wait around for…
Further showing that the people who did the CG for the high elf shown in the Warcraft movie didn’t know what they were doing.
Why would developers have a lawsuit on their hands? Can you tell me of a single time that used products being sold has ever won a court case to state that they can’t be sold used? Look me up a time that Toyota sued a used car lot, or Hasbro sued Goodwill for having their toy there, or a used baby clothes shop was sued…

1. Developers have already made their money from NEW sales, GameStop makes maybe 10% on any new game sale, you really think Rockstar is gonna come after GameStop because $Xbillion wasn’t enough for them selling brand new copies of GTA V and now they just want to be greedy and ask for more from them when they’re the #1…
Nintendo already tried to have game rentals banned way back when. It didn’t work then and it won’t work now. Nor should it.
Maybe if the people who make games make them, you know, actually GOOD, then I fail to see how this would be an issue for them. Because most indie games are download only (or heavily favor being downloaded) and won’t be in this system. And a lot of “big” games these days purposely stack loads of DLC and online passes…
How is this any different than any of the older game rental systems? Have you ever heard of Blockbuster?
Okay, there’s “attention to detail” and then there’s “incorporates a live owl attention to detail”.
The cosplay wars are no joke, holy shit. How are you supposed to compete with that? Where the hell do you even get an owl?
(given the dedication cosplayers have, I half-expect the answer to be “she hand-raised it from…
Art imitates life. Many of the real-life examples of modern fascist behavior in America are likely far better at being hilariously bat-shit insane than the made-up scenarios their writers came up with 3 years ago.
That actually IS covered. There are pretzle stall everywhere, and a diner owner is criticized for his menu not being german enough. You can also run into recipes for ‘german’ style hamburgers.
Introspection is not their strong suit.
But all they want is their lovely white ethnostate! And this game infringes upon their fee-fees! :V
“-a pro nazi newspaper ranting about the lying, very dishonest media.”
And the entire series has always been about killing Nazis. And it’s been going since 1981.
Not to mention that it’s a sequel which came out before he was president, nor the fact that this game’s conception probably began somewhere around 2-3 years ago.
I remember seeing some “reviews” in Metacritic where they gave the game zero points and said that it got that because it’s obviously made anti-Trump game about Trump supporters and it’s liberal propaganda.
I think the point that everyone’s trying to get at is that in 2013 (when the game was released), you didn’t do old-style pixel art because you were on a budget. You did it because it was the aesthetic that you wanted.
You know I actually think this could work quite well. A film of this subject matter is full of potential tension and drama much like the game.
