I agree that the new compensation model for the board of directors is likely a factor of the existing board leaving. Board roles are often advisory roles with no input on daily operations (note: some directors called inside directors do have input on daily operations). It’s been said that those board jobs are just

Now that Ryan Cohen will become Chairman of the Board, he will have control over the C suite. After June 9, we will see what Ryan Cohen’s turnaround strategy is and how effective the plan is in one year. There could be a shake-up in the C suite after June 9.

However, compensating the executives in 100% equity seems

I really want to see live footage of the new Mako handling.  From what I could tell, there was a significant community who liked the lightweight physics of the Mako in a “so bad, it’s good” way.

Hmm, can that Russian ex-Olympian basketball player, who was recently featured cosplaying this character, re-enact this scene?

You’re right! I completely forgot about Playstation Now. Microsoft really has the marketing mindshare here, because when I think about gaming clouds, Microsoft immediately comes to my memory.

EDIT: RealmRPGer mentioned that Playstation Now is Sony’s cloud solution.  My mistake!

I think the Xbox Cloud is the key here for playing old games, because Microsoft wants its games to be played on more platforms. So, Microsoft can stream older games to its new consoles without having to provide backwards-compatible hardware in these new systems.

As far as I know, Sony and Nintendo do not have any

I know Nintendo was also going to stop selling the digital version. I was not clear in my original comment, as I was referring to the physical release only. I agree that selling the digital version as a limited-time offer doesn’t make sense, since they just host the software and have fewer costs than producing a

I don’t understand your response. They are not going to make or sell any more physical copies of Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Or are you stating that the end of the physical cartridge should not stop Nintendo from continuing to sell the digital version?

Don’t games go out of print at some point? Two years after release, ARMS physical release was out of print and difficult to find new, although another batch was made in the last year. In the case of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Nintendo disclosed an actual date to stop making the game.

Nintendo is obviously using this

Animal Crossing: Fair point. I don’t play AC. Aren’t these events free though? It doesn’t require any real money to participate if you are in the event, right?

Smash: It’s limited content, but you can get Sephiroth separately. This depends if you value the challenge more than the character.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars:

Fire Emblem Heroes is an online-only, mobile game. It’s not a console game. I make that distinction.

Nintendo’s standard console games like BotW and Mario games may have DLCs, but they aren’t designed to run as “games as a service.”  There aren’t on-going events in those games where if you take a break, you might miss

I guess Nintendo is one of the last holdouts from the “games as a service” model. They release DLC, but their games that aren’t online only (i.e. Tetris 99) don’t really run events that require you to be vigilant or miss out on some content.

I think Nier: Automata does a better job at setting up the multiple playthroughs, as playthrough A has decent narrative pacing such that when you get to playthrough B, it feels like a “post-game” (even though it’s not).

Maybe #1 is Honey Bee Inn?

Thanks for the information, as I didn’t know that.

Even before Ryan Cohen joined the board, the board had a way to check the CEO. I don’t know how corporate governance works in detail, but the current CEO has been CEO for a few years, so if the company hasn’t improved, based on the Wikipedia entry, the board could have exercised its right to remove the CEO, but they

Also, note that when Ryan Cohen, co-founder of Chewy and WSB favorite, joined the Gamestop board, he had already owned a number of GME shares. So, it’s possible he realized that the board was not going to do much to turnaround Gamestop and had bought enough GME shares to force the board to take action.

I am not feeling it with this 3D artstyle. The screenshots keep reminding me of a Blizzard World of Warcraft/Hearthstone derivative. The gameplay is different for sure, but I think I preferred the CPU being able to clear multiple gems and hitting me with untold damage when I goofed. lol

I now wish Gyromancer had a
