I’m thinking, based on “it was our hosts PC streaming the match and his responsibility”, that the PC with the mod was just spectating and streaming the match (essentially a middleman for outside spectators), and so the only mods that could apply would be visual in nature.

Shouldn’t players and sponsors be asking what other mods they had installed and forgot to turn off? I would be suspicious at every game I lost if I believed I pressed the correct input and my character did another thing, even though that happens to me in every game

Considering the amount of atrocities in the game and the casual attitude towards slavery in the game, adding people of color to it would have been a PR disaster.

Even if it’s behind XV, there’s no WAY the dev costs are as high for FFXVI. Yoshi-P turned this thing around in a respectable amount of time even with the pandemic, and marketing-wise XVI has been a lightweight compared to XV.

This tactic should be on the table in the writers strike, if it isn’t already. All creative should insist on contracts that protect their works — at the very minimum, prevent them from going into a vault, never to be seen again, all for the sake of a write-off.
