The studio that made the games that got you into gaming is no longer Blizzard.

Right, so big evil scummy/greedy corporations get to cry when they get rekt by someone trying to simply protect PAYING customers’ rights to not have their legit purchases be bloated up with cancerous malware. Fine.
SJWhores should be fucked off forever, I don’t see the problem in telling it like it is.
Go play Clicker Heroes 2 and tell me how that feels once the numbers go past 20 digits.
Shoulda just said to the guy “It’s a screen, not a dick, don’t take it so hard!”
Photoshop (or pay someone who’s actually good at this) your ex’s face onto some hardcore illegal porn such as bestiality or necrophilia and then spread it around where he works and on social media. See how he likes it then.
And this line of reasoning is exactly why so many devs go the free2pay/pay2win route.
That makes far too much sense for EA to even consider.
Yup, now we have a whole lot of Scammed Citizens (hurr).
I’m surprised no one picked up on the subtle joke in the game’s title as well.
Oh I completely agree and have said it many times: Lootboxes aren’t gambling, its true.
Fair enough, but what it actually comes down to at the end of the day is what the company does with the money. What that is is very seldom in the interests of the consumer OR even in the interest of pushing gaming forward.
Thing is, where and more importantly HOW do you draw the line as to what makes a good or bad lootbox? Remove the real life cash element? Even that doesn’t really make them a good thing as lootboxes as a whole are already seen as a content gating mechanic, and not one viewed in the most pleasant light either. Any game…
I don’t think Athena is actually with him at all. He’s most definitely just seeing her as yet another ghost of his past constantly messing with his head. But what that scene DID nail home was the fact that ok, now we know for sure that despite his best efforts, all the specters of his past are constantly still…
The fact that Square Square Triangle is gone pretty much changes everything, not like anyone actually used anything else in the older games :P
Y6 is also the first Yakuza game where you can actually properly walk behind buildings into actual alleyways and backdoors and inside the buildings proper.
The immediate kneejerk response will be to.... yeh, just stop selling Overwatch in Belgium. But that is assuming that it remains the only European nation to declare lootboxes illegal. What if the others follow suit? If 2 or 3 more nations follow.... block them or stop selling there too?
I’ve been saying for a very long time that ‘TOS’, ‘EULA’ etc needs to finally be formally challenged in the highest court and then utterly destroyed. Companies are getting away with crap that literally should be illegal by hiding behind shady ‘TOS’ or ‘EULAs’.
This is literally the one sole massive downside of the digital era that cannot be defended. It is a negative that really needs to be addressed by some sort of protection for the consumer. This is also why EULA needs to be formally challenged in court someday so we can HAVE protections against things being taken away.
This is indeed using the new Dragon Engine. Hence why the price is higher than Kiwami 1. It has far more content than Kiwami 1 as well.
