Ouch. Looks hellish for anyone that isn’t thin enough to squeeze through that.

Yeah, I guess overloading the megatons people were waiting for long alongside very new franchises will do that.

To be fair, FF7 does stand on its own and not because it brought people from the broader fandom. FF7 was a first game for many (though not for me) and it does have its own interesting lore, characters, gameplay quirk sand allure about it. It’s definitely not like other games where it’s all pomp and no substance.

I love the sexy attire, the svelte figure, the facial art, the hair, the pose, the colors.

To be fair, FF7 has been a part of the entire gaming landscape arguably and very important to the childhood of many gamers. I think gamers largely want to be excited through gameplay and hands on impressions more than some nifty looking trailers. We have been burned CONSTANTLY by neat looking trailers only to play a

Well, ME definitely could, because it’s meant to be some kind of a Star Trek of gaming. I definitely agree that we hopefully can see more playable races. Or hell, even starting out from a non human race entirely.

Honestly, as much as there’s niggling negatives to be found, this has been a win for gaming as a whole.

It is a villain delivering the dialogue. Put the pieces together and it makes sense. Skullface is particularly villainous in the story.

Solidus doesn’t get made until Big Boss leaves Patriots. Patriots made Solidus wholly outside Big Boss’s consent.

I wouldn’t set Metal Gear 1 and 2 in stone at all. We know by now that the canon is being rewriten. Just ride the waves.

I don’t think the voice acting is bad at all. Also, Skullface, the guy who narrates the early part of the trailer is purposely voiced as a really over the top villain. But knowing Kojima, it is likely a setup for something else.

Strategy games will be something that will be amazing with it.

Imagine strategy games working with this.

Heh, thanks! But yeah, the history of Metroid can be pretty complex behind the scenes.

Heh, I actually don’t agree with Jim Sterling that much either. But to be fair for you and those channels, I do realize the game does split opinions like that. I think all of us are in agreement that the game could have been better. But I’m just not seeing some maliciousness in the part of the game creators at all.

I don’t think the voice of racial characters really made any fuss when Mass Effect did it though. I honestly have never heard that one for all of its trilogy.

Two legendary franchises and it’s pretty cool that the fans mistake one for the other. The truth always comes out anyway.

I rewatched the trailer and do think the action slows down a bit at times, but the run and gun seems fine. It seems to be a bit faster than Doom 3. I do think they could afford to make it faster though.

Thanks for the insight! I honestly didn’t expect that and it’s cool you have elaborated a lot. But yeah, even watching it on Twitch, they did an AWFUL job of telling the viewers what the characters on screen was played by which player. Not to mention that shrieking, yelling kid in Splatoon commentary was going

This is one trend that needs to catch on. Dead Space 3 was a blast with the customizations too and the new Deus Ex will dabble in it as well. Dead Rising is famous for weapon crafting as well. I hope there is room for a lot of freaky creations.
