I don't think you're missing anything and that's not to say the game is bad. It will probably be better for you if you wait because then you get to enjoy ALL of Destiny instead of whetting your appetite on the beta and then go through the withdrawals of having to wait for September.
Who else can barely contain the excitement for the permanent reward on the 26th? I honestly don't think the Iron Banner rewards or any of the progression we made will carry over (which I'm fine with).

see, for me.. this would beat out buying a laptop for gaming. just use gamestream to stream games from my rig to the tablet and play on there. with video output, mouse, keyboard, and controller... I can play almost any game at max settings and get a better experience than a laptop worth $2k+.
Yeah no, while streaming is fun and whatever you like if this wants to compete as a portable it need to have the advantage of having games on board without any streaming bullshit. I know a lot of people are flabbergasted that you can't have or find decent wifi around the world because in their little bubble everything…
I'm doing stream with my surface pro 2 and asus g73, using Steam at the moment. works great.
I hope they also release a new device like the shield with the new hardware internals. I have no interest at all in buying it as tablet, i have more than enough of those already, thanks =)
