“After careful consideration, we’ve decided against Hitler quotes and instead will be using quotes from Mao Zedong.” -Austin St. John

Dragon Ball Z airing on Toonami was THE flashpoint for anime becoming mainstream in the U.S. There were occasional anime dubs in the U.S. throughout the 80s and 90', but outside of Voltron no real big hits (and even Voltron wasn’t nearly as popular as the big 80's cartoons like Transformers or He-Man). Even DBZ

You can only bring someone back who died of unnatural causes.

Hematomas are also clearly linked to smoking - both able to be caused by it, and almost always being made much worse by it.

This one fucking hurts. Like so fucking much. Dragonball is pretty much my childhood. It informed so much of my interests today. The idea that Akira Toriyama could die didn’t even cross my mind.

Nah, too much of 7r assumes you played the original.

When I was coming up, I loved 7, 8, and 9. 7 for all the obvious reasons. 8 i loved the movie sequences and pretty much everything about the game. 9 was way more whimsical, better graphics, and the story felt lighter because of the whimsy.

I wish there were some way to organize items by effect. If I want to talk to kitties, I shouldn’t have to tooltip over all 3 bazillion spells to find my talk to kitties potion.

That’s like asking Yoko Taro to put female characters in *actual* clothes

Not sure if this modder realizes it, but rescaling the models absolutely counts as editing them.”

The scales of the models being near identical was the most damning evidence of plagiarism against Palworld

Zooming in on something is editing it? I’ve seen some terrible takes around this game, but this is one of the worst.

Scaling is not modifying. 3D modeling/sculpting software are all different in units of size/scale. You could make a desk lamp model in Modeling Software A, import it into Modeling Software B, and instead sitting nicely on top of a desk, the lamp is the size of the desk itself. One *must* adjust the scale in order to

What? Scaling means nothing. Scaling is a completely transform-free process in 3D modeling. 1 inch means 1 foot means 1 astronomical unit because these virtual worlds are completely unit free.

They have copyright, what they don’t have is the trademark. Seems pedantic but it is a meaningful distinction

I suck at PvP shooters but am pretty good single player and was really looking forward to the PvE mode. Now I have no reason to ever play this game.

Frankly it’s just absurd to just assume it would have sucked. Whatever else you want to say about OW, it’s clear that Blizzard knows how to make a mechanically competent

My favorite part of online games like this is that we have zero control over it and if the developers want to change up a mode that we love all we can do is stop playing.

The vibes are great but it’s so short and feels like every episode doesn’t have enough time to get anything meaningful going narrative-wise. I kept half-expecting each episode to end with a big “each sold separately” wide shot of all the figures they used to make the show.

Never takes long for a Musk bro to show up and post something cringy and hilarious.
