I know they had to double down on The Flash since it was in a “too big to fail” situation, but cancelling the Batgirl movie looks like an even dumber decision now, especially when you add in all the good buzz they would have gotten with Brendan Fraser’s recent Oscar win.

You know what could really help DC right now? A Batgirl movie. Why hasn’t anyone made one of those?

I don’t doubt it. Hell, the simple fact that the movie is a Batman spinoff would have probably done half the work for them. I mean, look how desperate DC’s marketing was to tie The Flash movie to Batman. He’s DC’s biggest franchise, and pretty much the only major DC hero who hasn’t absorbed a flop at this point…
