If the behavior is creepy enough for you to ask, intervene. It doesn’t matter if it’s a boyfriend.

You don’t even have to talk to the woman, sometimes it’s enough to yell “hey, back off” to the guy. It’s letting him know that the observers won’t be passive and that you’re not going to be complicit in his behavior.
He wasn’t referring to the risk of not hearing a potential attacker?
Because if you’re with a guy he might pose a physical threat to the creepy man. If you’re alone, you’re vulnerable. If you’re with a weak looking guy and the creepy man thinks he can take him, he might still act on his impulses. It’s not about respecting property.
I think it falls within the same realm of people that don’t believe that their friends can be/are rapists, because they have an image in their mind of what a “rapist” is and couldn’t imagine someone a benign and normal as their friend doing something so heinous (like Lena Dunham’s defense of her pal). My partner…
Kind of fucked up that she’s trying to trademark the pussy hat element. That ain’t hers.
They already did. They have a lineup of female hosts, all ready and willing to jump in her spot. The same can’t be said for Jason (the young, *straight*, *white* mini-seacrest).
She was easily replaced by other female hosts in the lineup who were willing to accept lesser pay. They also had the looks, experience, charisma, chemistry on-air, etc. so she didn’t have the leverage. They don’t, IIRC, have a lot of replacements for Jason (who I assume is their baby Seacrest).
I think they’ve made a lot of great points. Why are you so defensive? ugh.
The same reason girls think video games are for men. It’s how it’s marketed and how we’re socialized. Sports are “for men” and women need “quick tips” to be able to talk about the sports and not annoy their men during the game (example narrative). Because “women don’t know sports”. I have female friends that work in…
They replaced her with another established E! host/personality, with just as much charisma and beauty (which I’m sure is high on their list of qualifiers) who was likely glad for the opportunity to come up and accepted the lower pay Catt turned down. Catt was great and all, and I can’t stand Jason, but she wasn’t a…
We had Hoda and Kathy Lee.
Agreed. Jason was awkward. But I don’t tune in enough for my preferences to matter.
I read that Catt had significantly fewer responsibilities than Jason (or whatever his name is) and that he fulfilled more roles than she did (production? I don’t know?) — but I assume that was a bullshit excuse to justify the significant difference in their compensation.
I heard they just like, consciously and conscientiously couple and uncouple. It’s like this higher wavelength thing that us conventional Americans couldn’t possibly comprehend.
She is soooooo fucking pretentious. I’m glad that I can publicly say I dislike her now without it being a “thing” — although why she wasn’t getting dragged for her pretentious, insufferable, racist, sexist bullshit years ago is beyond me.

YES. You said it best.
Notice how rarely Pitt or Thornton get dragged for it though.
Not really, Ben Harper has been fucking around with a friend of mine for years when he’s in town...
