I didn’t vape in public because it was cringey and related to losers blowing dragon clouds at “vapecons”. E-cigarettes just sounded impotent. But you know what? Before those vapes helped me quit smoking, I smoked cigarettes wherever I could. So... while vaping might be annoying, it’s not like cigarette smokers show…
I thought they were the ones cheering for this movement - as it gets rid of “local” producers making unregulated product, which is often cheaper than brands backed by tobacco companies that were forward thinking enough to do so.
Sure, but is that the case when bootleg pharma products are making people sick? When every city with a vape shop has it’s own people making vape fluid? That’s like pulling prozac because every town has at least one shop making homemade antidepressants. Regulation should be enforced, quality standards should be in…
Charming. Truly. And a wonderful way to overlook the myriad variables that contribute to addiction.
Hopefully it wasn’t Chantix! As that has way scarier side effects in my opinion.
Lol, I don’t.
Wow! I’m impressed with your ability to dismiss the arguments of others while being a total dick!
I’m so glad I was able to use vaping to quit before the public latched onto it in this moral panic. Otherwise I’d probably still be smoking.
Weird, we didn’t ban all alcohol because of teen drinking. We didn’t ban traditional tobacco because of teen smoking. But, yeah, totally we should ban vaping because students are acquiring the products illegally. /s
Vape liquid refers to the “juice” which is atomized by the battery into vapor. Much like you’d use a humidifier with Vick’s vapor rub when you’re sick. Or enjoy a steam room. You’re not “putting liquid in your lungs”.
Um, I started using vape products when they were “e-cigarettes” which were widely available in 2010. They helped me quit smoking, and do so without inhaling actual smoke/combustion, while avoiding tar and ~4,000 carcinogens.
And the overwhelming majority of those deaths and illnesses are a result of using “black market” THC product and unauthorized or homemade vape juice. Not JUUL, not Blu, not any other proper brand subject to normal production standards.
Exactly. Why is it that the sales regulations/laws are enough for tobacco products, but apparently we can’t have flavored vape juice, despite being sold under the same laws? It’s illegal to sell them to people under 18, so why is it that they’re banning flavors instead of prosecuting those who are acquiring products…
I pay the same deductible hun. Let’s not act like your behaviors are entirely without risk.
Yes, regulated - to ensure the product meets consistent standards (especially with homemade product!). NOT pulled from the market because products are being sold illegally and parents aren’t taking responsibility for their kids.
I quit smoking through vaping - although I wasn’t as aggressive about quitting because I really enjoy the process of smoking (as Fran Liebowitz once said, a smoker can never be bored - no matter how boring something is, at least you can smoke!). I was able to control my intake, and never had issues with the product or…
He has all the data he needs and an unrivaled platform, to boot.
Because, in some cultures, drinking plays a heavy role in even professional circumstances. Specifically, an employee (especially a new employee) might be expected to keep up with their coworkers and supervisors at social events. To reject a drink is to go against expectation and single oneself out. So, to be able to…
