Meh. Its like chicken applesauce. Not largely different from the preparation of lots of other food we consume and don't consider gross.

@chefgon: I have a love / hate with my Galaxy / Vibrant. When they fix the GPS issue, it will swing a lot further towards pure love. The only other thing that drives me nuts is the lack of the google calendar app (and yes, I use LauncherPro instead of TouchWiz)

@92BuickLeSabre: The FreshRoast is a great little starter model at around $100, but youre limited to relatively small batches (about the size of a large french press), and controls are simple. Low / high, and an off/on timer knob.

@92BuickLeSabre: Its a mild smell to have in the air. Its generally NOT terribly invasive at all once it hits circulation. If you do it in an enclosed space, such as dead center of the kitchen, the smell will linger for a couple days, but if you duct or vent it, it will be minimal.

@92BuickLeSabre: A home roasting set up is actually no larger than a popcorn popper. You'' likely need to disable your smoke detector while you do it though., or if you live somewhere warmer, you can do it on or near a window.
