I think it’s both the editing that smooths everything out way too much and the proportions he tricks your eye into seeing. He makes his nose look so thin it’s unsettling.

You can’t compare an office that has federal limits on the amount of staff/salary to... literally any other kind of business. Amazon made $11 BILLION dollars in profit this year (and paid $0 in federal income tax), I don’t think their workers would max out at $80K if we instituted higher minimum wages.

The multiple accusations and evidence were only possible because people took the crimes seriously by believing victims. Not doing so is also why all three of the men you named were able to hunt women for decades before they were stopped, because the authorities and because society don’t view women and other minorities…

Bernie was literally encouraging superdelegates to subvert the will of the voters and hand him the nomination once it became mathematically impossible for him to win it democratically, but yes, it’s the all-powerful DNC who rigged things.

It’s worrisome because it pathologizes food by painting it as a drug. Part of the reason our eating culture is so disordered is because we attach so much stigma, shame, and baggage to the consumption of food.
