I don’t disagree with the premise, and would always choose the full Popeye’s fried chicken (spicy, please) when asked what I like better, but I’m not really down to dive into bone-in fried chicken and the resultant mess unless I’m getting it to eat at home with lots of napkins and a post-meal hand (and face) washing.

Man that looks amazing.  The good stuff is worth it but I wouldn’t blindly buy a “wagyu” steak without looking at it and seeing the marbling. Some garbage in this country sold as Wagyu looks leaner than choice steaks.  And don’t get me started on wagyu burgers which are just a waste

looks good.  Surprised you went with such a high temp for that long. I’ve only done sous vide then smoked brisket.  Cooked at 155 for 24 hours and then refrigerated overnight and smoked for 2-3 hours til it got back to 155.  Guess I was looking for a sliceable product vs. braisy textured

As stupid as the Electoral College is, the fact that it involved “electors” and isn’t just a rote assignment of the number of votes for the winner of the state’s vote is 100x more idiotic.

I was reading elsewhere that its already too late for the turkey farmers to do much to breed/raise smaller turkeys. I was never into the bigger turkeys anyway. I’d rather roast 2 smaller turkeys (10-12lbs) than one big one if I have a big crowd.

Agreed - some of the things I’ve never heard of (who the hell uses a toaster for grilled cheese or a CD spindle for bagels) and others work just fine. Not sure why they think using tongs to squeeze a lemon doesn’t work as well as hands because it most definitely does. Its true salting the water doesn’t make it boil

I have all three sizes, cup(?), pint and quart.  All have their separate uses.  I still have a few bigger/square tupperware for the larger items, like brisket or ribs, but use the deli containers for 95% of my leftovers

For the life of me, I don’t know why chains like Dunkin Donuts spicy flavorsdo these stunts with things like ghost peppers and don’t make it spicy. I know that chains by default will dumb down the spicy to appeal to the broadest audience by why bother with ghost pepper rather than just generic “spicy” donut if you
