take it as a sign- good bagel places close around 3 or 4 because they are in before dawn baking proper bagels to be open by 5 or 6. Just like how you don’t order fish in a restaurant on the weekend (thank you Anthony Bourdain), you don’t order a bagel at 4pm.

If the bagel is rock hard and your lox is dripping, FIND ANOTHER BAGEL SPOT! That sounds vile. NYC is known as a place for amazing bagels but they’ve gone seriously downhill in recent history- I think people show up thinking NYC’s rep will help them sell a bad bagel (tourists don’t know the difference). We see it with

I do squats and deadlifts for my lower body, but right now unweighted- working my way up (do 1-leg toe touch, which is basically the same move as a deadlift)

I honestly never know what I’m doing at the gym- every day I read a new article about what I’m doing wrong.  I do free weights for upper body, 4 sets of 12-15 reps.  I don’t want to bulk up, but I want definition and strength.

For me I like the textural contrast- chips are smooth and soft. I like the play between them and the batter/brownie flesh.

What’s wrong with adding more chocolate? They also aren’t as hard as nuts, so the texture isn’t too jarring.

Nuts aren’t too bad, but chocolate chips are preferred.

Frosting brownies is wrong. Quick mint glaze on the other hand...

1) I find it funny one of the recommended articles is “3-ingredient brownies, easier than a box”

2) Have you made the Baker’s chocolate one-pot brownies? They take no more time than a box, but they are SOOOOO much better, a much better cocoa flavor. 1 pan, melt chocolate and butter. take the pan off heat, add sugar,

I have Moviepass and am not dropping it, mostly because I paid for a full year to get an awesome rate. I’m hoping it lasts until next April, so I at least get my full subscription. I don’t mind having it knocked down to 3 movies/month, I just wish I could book in advance or work something out so my friends and I can

Is that true?  If so, not only is it gross from a cleanliness perspective, it is SO bad for the environment!

I was always team “NOT BRAD” in the whole Angelina vs. Jen crap and this cements it. Noo! Don’t drag me through the mud! Think of the children! Says the guy who had no problem very obviously and publicly ditching his wife for his costar.

For wine, one of the nice boxes is fabulous- I find they don’t turn as quickly as bottles in over-heated, under-cooled apartments (and are a bit easier to fit in the fridge).

How does Sliding Door pass? I love the movie, but Helen and her friend Anna only ever talk about her love life.

I read the book and enjoyed it, but didn’t want to read the rest of the series.  For me, some of the characters were so awful I was uncomfortable and felt so bad for Rachel (Constance’s character).  I want to support the movie for the sake of where it is in history, but I don’t really care to see those horrible people

My concern is the latter.  If it’s the former, I get a little worried someone set up a fake account, but normally that’s not too scary- anything banking/credit related would show in my report if it’s tied to me.

Slightly off topic but related- what do you do if you get the prompt/code/whatever and you’re not the one who generated it?  Sometimes I get these from websites I’m not on and that just freaks me out.

Exactly what I was thinking.

And, focusing all the resources on one org can end up being detrimental.

I always check out orgs before donating and I haven’t found anything on RAICES. They’re not rated by Charity Navigator and I can’t find their tax ID. Doesn’t mean they’re not legit, but worries me.  I also worry about tiny orgs getting massive influxes of cash, especially for 1 purpose.  They may not be able to
