And, focusing all the resources on one org can end up being detrimental.

I always check out orgs before donating and I haven’t found anything on RAICES. They’re not rated by Charity Navigator and I can’t find their tax ID. Doesn’t mean they’re not legit, but worries me. I also worry about tiny orgs getting massive influxes of cash, especially for 1 purpose. They may not be able to…
I like the idea of adding an upcharge for movie not otherwise included in Moviepass (like Imax and special events) but surge pricing is ridiculous. As it is, we have to buy tickets right before the show, so super popular movies may be out of reach for us, since the tix will be snapped up on Fandango.
I read a Buzzfeed piece after A:IW came out, he was getting a lot of heat because everyone (rightly) blamed him for the end and he responded in a “rougish manbaby” way (totally stealing your phrase). I get that it’s the character, not the person, but still.
The official rankings are Helmsworth #1, Pratt #4 (or lower, if we find more Chrises)
They are a fantastic place, maybe just need to deal with a few bad staff.
I haven’t seen any GotG, skipped ahead to Infinity War and his character is SUCH AN ASS that I’m never gonna watch the movies. None of the characters compelled me.
He strikes me as that guy who was funny and sweet back when he was “fat” (by hollywood standards - his Parks and Rec look is exactly what I want in a guy) but became “buff and hot” and feels he can get away with anything. He kinda seems like a dude-bro.
Single woman, spend about $250-$275/month. I pay attention to the circulars. Most stores near my start new sales friday, but issue the new circular Thursday. Thursday I go through, see what’s on sale, then meal plan for the week ahead. I make lists of what I need, indicating which store has which items. For things not…
Very hit or miss. I made my best friends through a meetup. I also got groped and had a pretty bad one-night-stand. I find it’s best to start slowly- things that you can leave/extricate yourself are good for early on (Happy hours, free museum nights). It might also depend where you are. I loved the meetups in NYC, but…
Salad was a summer dinner staple in my house- dump a can of tuna, some hard boiled eggs for protein and call it dindin. We would share the bowl, so dump the salad on to plates, which always got tricky as the veggies wilted and slid everywhere.
When you run low and can’t turn your bottle over, pour a little water in, shake and voila! It’s a little thinner but it does the job and picks up all the left behind wash. Also, soap leaves more soap scum in the shower than body wash.
I have never been able to do a push up- traditional or on my knees. My trainer got me to do one using large resistance band loops (probably 2ish’ in diameter- use 2). Put the band over tricep dip bars that aren’t too far off the ground (I use one that’s about chest height). Go through the bands and get into pushup…
Clever, but many of these are over simplified.
Yes, I need a nap. Too bad I’m in a place where I cannot do so and need better coping mechanisms for now, and a better bedtime plan for later.
I know this is meant to be super basic, but it would make the site INFINITELY more helpful if it gave a few suggestions for how…
I figured Macron is just trying to limit is physical contact with the drumpfs.
I found roasting frozen chicken breasts, while it take more time, results in a yummy, juicy bird. I think it’s 375 for roughly 45-60 minutes (depending on the size)- flip halfway through. I top it with some oil and seasoning and it’s great and pretty mindless.
I keep both on hand because table salt is great for the reasons you highlighted- it’s what I throw in boiling water, but its tiny grains make it tricky to sprinkle. It always get under my nails and sticks to my skin. Kosher salt is course enough I can sprinkle it on meat and know I’m getting a relatively even coating.
Barbara Bush, Carl Kassell, Willow the Corgi. It always goes in threes.
Washing dishes usually doesn’t take me that long (I’m one person and am blessed with a dishwasher), so I normally just have the TV on in the background. For longer work- house cleaning and such, I do have podcasts on. Usually Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me or No Such Thing As A Fish.
