Mercedes is crushing it on styling vs BMW and Audi now. But please, everyone, stop it with the carbon fiber interior look already. It looked stupid 10 years ago and it still looks fn stupid.

Wow, just checked and these 2017 CPO’s are super cheap. Our rare manual 2014 Outback (fitted with WRX wheels) has held its value very well. Time to sell. It’s plasticky, slow, and has one of the worst shifters ever. It’s a used X5 or one of these... and I’m liking the sound of one of these.

This appeals to my interests. Only because at 41 I’m finally willing to settle for an automatic (for the family car, not my personal car). And because modern BMWs blow goats, so why not just get the Volvo?

Camry. The car people who think Accord buyers are GG Allin.

If it doesn’t deliver the closest shave ever, do we get our money back?

Worst car purchase ever made was selling my E39 wagon for a new Subaru Outback just because rear-facing car seats did not fit in the E39. The only good thing that resulted: found another this time manual E39 for thousands less than my wife’s Accord. And, Outback was 0% financing and has amazing resale value. Can’t

To pull a Debbie Downer Neil DeGrasse Tyson: “ACTUALLY, 300 horsepower is an artificial construct in space-time!” But I will say people who bitch on the internet about 300 horsepower not being enough are driving some lard ass automatic with lifeless steering. Or even more likely, live in their mom’s basement.

I’m not gonna lie. Tailgates get me randy.

The idea that F1 or any kind of auto racing is pretty much a PS4 video game is laughable. You can’t magically undo hundreds of thousands of years of male Homo Sapiens evolution just by thinking it so. That’s just anti-science.

It is a thing of musical beauty to hear those 10 cylinders in person. Unfortunately the one time I saw a Carrera GT in the wild I was in a moving truck and had a super hard time following it... I think I “kept up” for 2 lights.

I don’t think it was much of a power loss from what I remember with the VW 4 cylinder TDI fixes. Plus these things are made for reflashing. It’s a VAG product—it’s to be unreliable however you cut it. I’m a buy used BMW guy, but this finally makes the Q7 price palatable to me!

We can’t get human rights get in the way of people feeling smug about what they drive.

I’ve had a 2000 328i sport pack and two 2000 528i Tourings. Yes, the E39 build quality is way higher than E46. I still miss how small the E46 drove but the E39 is truly built to go another 17 years while the E46's seemed pretty tired at 10 years old. That said the BMW problems are predictable: go ahead and rebuild the

I had a Juke as a rental car once in Oregon. Drove it to the coast. Very fun to drive in the mountains with the little turbo 1.6 and the CVT you could shift. It was the best rental car I’ve ever had perhaps. Outside of that suprrise time I got an Accord. But again 90% of rental cars are utter @#$%. No, scratch that,

I like/hate my 2014 Outback. LIKE: 6 speed manual, roomy, cheap as *@#$ brand new at $22k HATE: the manual is crap compared to my old BMW, built quality of a 2004 Impreza, Boxer burble sounds like @#$% compared to a good inline-6, slow as crap, throwout bearing and engine rebuilt under warranty. That said, I could get

Question: how hard would it be to shoehorn a Mustang manual/V8 combo in these? It’s keeping it in the family, right?

How much for a manual one... oh.

Get an E39 540i and a supercharger.

Don’t get it. Give it a good greenhouse and this would kick the Charger’s ass 10x over.

It’s a shame Ford can’t put this powertrain in a wagon or five-door hatchback or even just a US Falcon sedan. A damn shame.
