Infiniti styling makes me want to projectile vomit.
Land Cruisers start at 80k and this Patrol will start at 45k? Seems like a deal. Hate hate that Infiniti-esque chrome vent though.
My $4000 E39 Touring babies two and doggies two. Just needs to scrape together $5000 for an Active Autowerke supercharger and I can almost take this bloated “track pack”.
Make it a hot hatch and we can talk. Current BMW design is dead to me anyway.
The only new car I’d buy is a Fiesta ST for 20 grand. Otherwise, there is nothing I’d rather drive every day than my $4200 manual BMW wagon. A good used truck or minivan is 10 grand. I love cars but there’s not a single thing out there worth paying more than 20 grand for.
Wagon lover (on my second E39 touring... and we have a manual Outback in the garage as well), and a Honda lover, but I have to say these look aesthetically idiotic. That said, I would buy one in a second if I could!
7th generation was as good as it got. My wife had first year of 8th gen (2008) when we met. Not a bad car by any means but 7th gen was one of Honda’s peaks. I supposed the 9th gen seems not bad IF you can find a 6MT.
Not to mention, all these tacky LED DRL are so ugly they make me puke. And puke is slippery and can cause accidents.
I do feel calmed. Who would you rather have this tech instead?
Yeah my 2 year old Subaru Outback (6MT at least) has way more rattles than my 16 year old BMW E39 touring. I am going to try to get them figured out under warranty (last tech did not seem surprised or interested) but if not that POS is gone when it’s paid off. At least they have good resale.
I agree. The ONLY good looking Corvette except the original.
I’ve had this Jeep as a rental before, and the shifter is very confusing. Then again I have a hard time figuring out how to use all automatics. I honestly do become angry every time I see the Nokia phone shifter on the new BMW’s. WTF design is that. First of all, it look it’s going to snap off in my hand.
I guess if we are all just sharing automated electric cars and it’s getting used all the time, it will be obsolete and pretty much disposable in 2 years just like my iPhone. Meanwhile, my E39 BMW will keep trucking on. As long as the government hasn’t confiscated and crushed it.
I seriously doubt the 124 Spider will depreciate as much as other Fiat producst. Still, it’s hard to think of any car I wouldn’t buy used rather than new (my Subaru Outback is an exception with the awesome resale they have). I’ve bought all my Miatas and BMWs for 70 to 90% off list.
Typically my rule, too. However, sold my wife’s Accord on Craigslist and got over blue book value within two days. Boring non-car people love Accords. (As they should. They are good cars.) Conversely the trick to buying manual E39 wagon is find one mis-listed on Autotrader as an automatic. Buy it for 4200 when it…
Should have gotten the RWD with a sport pack. Had a 2000 328i for 5 years and it was a gem. BMW also started to sissy up the steering feel in 2001 and had began to reverse their own damage a year or two after. Maybe you got one of the bad ones. Plus every review I’ve read of an AWD Bimmer says it sucks the fun out of…
Still haven’t driven an FR-S but I’ve owned similar moderately fast, light, awesome handling Japanese cars (1st gen Miata, B13 SE-R). Have driven late model GTI. The GTI was a huge let down to me. Sure it was pretty fast in a straight line and luxury-ish feeling, but the turbo thrill does just not match letting a good…
All fun until you hit a whale.
DAMN THIS CAR LOOKS GOOD IN DARK BLUE!
